If people can’t say it, it is challenging to raise awareness, educate others about the disease, discuss the disease with physicians and perhaps understand the impact this chronic disease has. In the beginning, I was uninformed and didn’t do my due diligence in researching sarcoidosis. My first symptom was swollen feet and ankles and my desire to wear cute high—heeled ankle boots was destroyed.
