What was your first job as a journalist?

My first bylines were at the Paisley People/Gazette and Daily Record on an internship.

How is social media changing news?

The pro is it makes it much more accessible for everyone, readers and writers alike. The con is just that, it makes "conning" easy.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Being fair, accurate and open-minded. Trying to get the best story written possible and not disappointing your readers.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter - because it's the easiest, by far, to get work scene quickly by a targeted audience, and to spread any exclusive news or interviews.

When's the best time to pitch you?

The best time is yesterday, but the second best time is now, so what are you waiting for?
