America 250: Declarations of Intent - Salisbury Post

Persimmons have a lot of history to chew on - Salisbury Post
Mix together the sugar, oil and eggs; stir in the other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Grease and flour four 1-pound coffee tins or 4 small loaf pans. Fill each half full. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Let cool slightly before removing from can (if using). The variations on persimmon pudding are seemingly endless. In looking for recipes, it’s apparent the folk in Indiana are pretty passionate about their persimmons, too.
