After a decade, ASUS has made a comeback in India’s tablet space with its ASUS Pad (T3201); the last time we saw an ASUS tablet was in 2016 with the ZenPad 8, when tablets weren’t that popular. But in 2026, with doomscrolling consuming most of our smartphone time and laptops out of reach because of RAM and storage price hikes, demand for tablets is growing as a secondary device for productivity and on-the-go entertainment.

For years, the accessory market in India has run on a familiar and frustrating lag. It goes something like this: a flagship launches, and the good cases, the ones with real engineering behind them rather than a shell stamped out to fit “most phones,” take weeks to arrive.

For years, buying a smartphone in India meant scrolling through a spec sheet, comparing chipsets, benchmark scores, megapixel counts, and battery capacities to find the “best numbers on paper.” However, today, buying decisions are increasingly driven by how a phone performs in everyday life rather than how it scores in a benchmark.
