November 2, 2024 California rapper, producer and fashion icon Tyler, the Creator released his seventh studio album, “CHROMAKOPIA,” on Monday. Since the 2017 release of his album “Flower Boy,” the 33-year-old artist has been known to release albums that have bold aesthetics and genre-fusing musical styles. In “CHROMAKOPIA,” Tyler appoints the paranoia associated with fame at the crux of his deteriorating sense of self.

Perpetuating the pop culture phenomenon known as “Brat Summer,” British pop star Charli XCX released a remix version of her most recent album, “BRAT,” on Friday. The album, titled “Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat,” features an array of artists like Ariana Grande, Troye Sivan and Lorde. In the most striking and maximalist fashion, Charli gloriously reworks the pop record that became a cultural timepiece of the summer.

In the mid-2010s, the rap community evolved into a cultural phenomenon distinguished from mainstream artists like Drake.
