Management and clinical outcomes of Lyme disease in acute care facilities in 2 endemic regions of Quebec, Canada: a multicentre retrospective cohort study
Outcomes The main outcome was the proportion of patients with clinical resolution of Lyme disease at 90 days, defined as the complete disappearance of objective clinical signs found on physical examination (e.g., facial palsy, synovitis).3 We defined treatment failure as persistence of at least 1 objective sign 90 days after the initial treatment.3 We did not consider subjective symptoms, such as fatigue or arthralgia, in our evaluation of the primary outcome.
