South Africa’s Michael Hollick produced one of the shots of the DP World Tour season on Sunday, holing out for an eagle 3 on the 72nd hole to snatch the 37th BMW International Open at Golfclub München Eichenried. The 18-under-par finish handed the 30-year-old his maiden DP World Tour title by a single stroke — and it came from nowhere, with Hollick three shots back with two holes to play.

Phil Mickelson will not tee it up at Royal Birkdale. The 56-year-old’s name has moved out of the playing field for the 2026 Open Championship (July 16–19), Golf Digest first reported — meaning that, for the first time in his professional career, Mickelson will miss all four majors in a single year. Mickelson remains exempt for The Open until age 60 as the 2013 Champion Golfer of the Year, but the R&A now lists him among non-playing exempt players rather than in the field.
