How is social media changing news?

Social media is ruining a lot of things. News is just one of them.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

by email although these days we all get so much of it. PR people should try snail mail once in a while to break through.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use a Filofax and a quill.

What's your favorite social network?

Probably LinkedIn people seem more polite there

Why did you become a journalist?

I love newspapers and magazines.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

high school year book... photo editor.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

The best pitches are usually written by PR people who used to be journalists.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Reading a book (made of paper).
