I am excited that Dave Drotzmann has chosen to run for the State Senate representing District 29. He represents a new generation of leaders willing to pick up the baton. If there is anything this country needs, it is fresh new ideas and new leadership. During the 10 years I spent as a Umatilla County commissioner, one of our closest partners was the city of Hermiston led by Dave as the mayor. Together, we initiated many exciting joint projects, which are on display in that community.
