Boost’s Butterfly Ball raises more than $1.4 million for children and teens

It was a life-changing night for Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre on May 21 at the 27th Annual Butterfly Ball, which raised more than $1.4 million for programs to help children and teens who have experienced abuse. The gala, held at the Royal Ontario Museum, was co-chaired by Lesley Rowan, Claire MacNamara and Sarah Paterson. This year, the board of directors honoured MacNamara and Paul Godfrey with awards.

Jann Arden performs at Royal Conservatory of Music event at Koerner Hall

The Royal Conservatory of Music’s annual Royal Occasion at Koerner Hall brought together more than 600 guests and raised $450,000 to support music education across Canada. The evening featured remarks from Michael and Sonja Koerner and RCM president and CEO Alexander Brose, as well as performances by Jann Arden, Laila Biali, Donovan Woods and emerging artists from the Glenn Gould School and the Taylor Academy. Arden, Jenifer McDonald and Stephen McDonald were recognized with honorary fellowships.

Sarah McLachlan performs at Suzanne Rogers’ LoveShackFancy event

The May 7 LoveShackFancy fundraiser combined Suzanne Rogers’ passions for fashion and philanthropy. The sold-out event, held at a private club in Toronto, featured a fashion show of the LoveShackFancy Automne-Hiver 2026 Collection and raised $500,000 for children’s charities. The evening, featuring event chair Sylvia Mantella and Rebecca Hessel Cohen, founder and creative director of LoveShackFancy, also included an intimate performance by singer Sarah McLachlan.
