ABSTRACT Background Malaysia’s dual-tier healthcare system is strained by out-of-pocket expenditures, limited private insurance coverage, and dependence on public healthcare. This study aimed to assess healthcare professionals’ (HCPs) readiness towards National Health Insurance, as their engagement will strongly influence implementation success. Methods A nationwide cross-sectional survey was conducted among 203 HCPs between September and October 2024.
