CGRP Inhibitor Use Linked to Lower Glaucoma Risk in Migraine

ARTICLE IN BRIEF: An analysis of people who used a calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) inhibitor and others who used a commonly recommended non-CGRP preventive has revealed that over up to three years of follow-up, glaucoma occurred in 0.42 percent of the CGRP group and 0.61 percent of the other group. However, one expert cautioned that the results are not evidence that CGRP inhibitors actively protect against glaucoma.
