WW+P merges with Toronto-based studio

Both practices already belong to French multinational architecture and engineering giant Egis’s 10N collection of architectural studios, but the merger, announced today (13 January), means that 12 global offices will nowcome under the WW+P brand. Other Egis practices include London, Hong Kong, and San Francisco-based 10 Design, San Francisco-based SB Architects and Middle East-based U+A. WW+P’s staff numbers have more than doubled following the merger – from 168 a year ago up to 410.

Foster + Partners designs time capsule for USA’s 250th anniversary

The stone time capsule was presented to the US last week during a ceremony involving Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin and first lady Suzanne S Youngkin. The capsule is made of Portland limestone taken from one of the original steps of the George Washington Statue plinth in London, which had its limestone replaced during a restoration overseen by Fosters last year.
