Mr Porter joins from Verispan (healthcare information), which he co-founded and led as CEO and vice-chairman.

International engineering outfit Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) is to open two offices in Australia to reap the rewards of a potential 2,000GW windfall of offshore capacity. The IEA “has identified more than 7,000TWh per year of offshore wind technical potential (roughly 2,000GW of capacity) in waters below 60m offshore Australia. The potential adds up to 16,000TWh per year when considering deeper waters," said the company.
