3.1. Characterization of the Proposed Material The morphology and topology of rGO/SmNPs were studied by TEM (HR-TEM), and the results obtained are shown in Figure 2 . The micrograph in Figure 2 A of rGO/SmNPs reveals an irregular structure, a characteristic feature of graphene sheets functionalized (24) with dispersed Sm 2 O 3 nanoparticles. This irregularity can be attributed to structural defects induced by chemical functionalization and interaction with Sm 2 O 3 nanoparticles.
