Jasmine Low’s Biography

Jasmine is a freelance writer, field producer for broadcast television and a consulting project manager with extensive experience in the media landscape.

Based in Sydney and Kuala Lumpur, she is an emerging film director and founded EQn Activation Film Studios - an XR film research, development and production company t/a Go International Group Dotcom Pty. Ltd.

Jasmine began her career in print as a publisher's representative and found a niche in writing advertorials. She worked on Michael McCann's Travel Away magazine, The Quorum, Reader's Digest and The Economist. During her role as advertising manager of The PRofessional, official magazine of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, clients loved the idea of advertorials and in the spirit of closing the sale, Jasmine started writing the content for her clients. Jasmine was a media representative for Reader's Digest Asia and wrote a special supplement for Star Cruises in the Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand editions.

Jasmine cofounded A Fitness Today, an omnichannel media platform that curates, produces and distributes factuals, scripted and unscripted content. The independent media group publishes AustraliaFitnessToday.com, AsiaFitnessToday.com, a Afitnesstoday.Substack, KurangManis.Substack and produces content for YouTube.com/@AFT-tv and AFT Podcasts.

Jasmine directed and produced the Move8 XR Walk-a-Hunt web series, an immersive 360 film that explores places and communities.

She clinched the Motion Picture Association International Script-to-Screen Pitch Competition (Malaysia) 2nd Prize for ‘Kurang Manis’, a documentary about six Malaysians living in a not-so-sweet world of political change while one in two battle a noncommunicable disease.

She has also undertaken roles as field producer, fixer and researcher for Channel News Asia's Insight and Insider documentaries, The Guardian, Sky News, SwissTV and Goode Films.

Born in Penang, she lives in Sydney and loves opportunities that take her back to Malaysia on assignment.
