1. Introduction After the industrial revolution, in order to meet increasing demand, plastic has a big place in our lives due to its many advantages such as low cost, light weight, and durability. Plastic production, which was 15 million tons in 1964, has increased significantly over the years, reaching 400.3 million tons by 2022, increasing more than 25 times in 58 years [,]. Approximately 39% of the plastics produced in Türkiye and also in Europe are used as packaging material [,].

Abstract : In the chemical industry, organizational and operational human factors significantly contribute to accidents. Chemical accidents occur in various operations of the industry due to a range of factors. Understanding the relationship between these factors and the accidents that happen is crucial in preventing similar accidents from happening repeatedly and promoting sustainability.
