1 Introduction The poultry sector in Bangladesh has been seriously hindered by various infectious and non-infectious diseases in recent decades, and avian leukosis disease is one of them (Begum, Rahman, and Akter 2016; Hossain et al. 2017; E. Islam et al. 2018; M. S. Islam et al. 2020; Kabir et al. 2021; Mili, Islam, and Al Momen Sabuj 2022).

1 INTRODUCTION Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is an economically important vector-borne transboundary disease of ruminants caused by lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) (Kayesh et al., 2020). LSDV is a double-stranded DNA virus under the family Poxviridae and the genus Capripoxvirus (Sprygin et al., 2019; Tulman et al., 2001).
