I have known Greg Gianforte for many years. I spent over 40 years in the private sector in the Gallatin Valley. During that time I dealt with a number of very successful business owners. Greg Gianforte was among them. I have always felt that, given the opportunity, a great business person would be the best leader for our nation and for the state of Montana. Republicans in the Montana State Legislature need help from the governor’s office to move the peoples’ agenda forward.
Every Montana legislative session has at least one “Colstrip Bill” that is surrounded by controversy. The 2019 session is no different. The narrative regarding SB 331, the Montana Energy Security Act (MESA), has been inaccurately skewed by groups who are ideologically opposed to the use of fossil fuels, even though they know Montana’s energy needs cannot be met by alternative sources.
Gordon was born and raised in Michigan. While in high school, Gordon moved to North Carolina with his parents. After serving in the US Navy, he returned to North Carolina and was a longtime resident in Mebane. He worked for many years for some of the prominent employers in the area including the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, the American Tobacco Company, and ADT/Entergy Security. Most notably, Gordon was known as a person who loved people and loved the Lord.
