In Australia, Fitness Workers Are Organizing
As a sector plagued by underpayment, sham contracting, and hypercasualization, the fitness industry there has no shortage of issues to mobilize around. It’s common — as fitness instructors explain in United Workers Union (UWU) meetings and forums — for employers to expect them to shoulder costs associated with travel, time spent learning choreography, and gaining “optional” training and certificates.

Former passengers and crew of flight BA149 have launched a legal case against His Majesty’s Government and British Airways. They content that the scheduled refuelling of a civilian aircraft in military-occupied Kuwait, an invasion that became the First Gulf War, was a means for the government to deliver intelligence into the country at the cost of the safety of the crew and passengers.
Field Notes: Brest
By Grace Dowling Art by Izzy Walter To travel to a place is to assume it has something to offer you. Its humble landscapes are not designed for holidays. I couldn’t meet or hold the city’s gaze.

The Hockney Matisse Un Paradis retrouvé exhibition at the Matisse Museum in Nice rose to the challenge of finding a new perspective on these two iconic artists by revealing the enduring presence of Matisse throughout Hockney’s body of work.

Australia’s Hospitality Workers Aren’t “Entitled” - They Just Know How Much Their Work Is Worth
