Nigeria’s rising junior tennis star Seun Ogunsakin has written a new chapter in his career by securing his first-ever win in the main draw of a Junior Grand Slam tournament. The Aurum Tennis Academy player defeated 15th seed Kuan-Shou Chen of Chinese Taipei in a gripping three-set battle, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5, on the opening day of the 2026 US Open Junior Championships. Ogunsakin, who entered the 64-player main draw as a qualifier, showed remarkable resilience after dropping the opening set.
