Major aerospace company finalizes multi-million dollar purchase of Slidell property. What's next?

Textron Systems, the national aerospace and defense tech juggernaut with regional operations in south Louisiana, has purchased the Slidell Business Campus on Gause Boulevard from the city of Slidell, its longtime owner. In a deal finalized earlier this month, Textron paid $3.4 million, or about $30 a square foot, for the 13.2-acre property, which it has leased since 2007. Textron and Slidell city officials announced the news on Wednesday.

Over the past three years, the 15-year-old business has grown from a single storefront in Mandeville that Jeff Robertson opened with his wife, Corey, in 2011 into a franchise operator with locations across the Gulf Coast.
