Grace King’s Biography

Grace is an evening anchor and reporter for WUFT's "First at Five" newscast that airs on PBS in North Central Florida. Additionally, she anchors and produces local content for NPR's Morning Edition.

Over the past few years, she's served as the chairwoman of the Florida Scholastic Press Association, represented the state of Florida at the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism conference, received the Dow Jones Media Maven Award in Photography, won eighteen national journalism awards, spoken at the United Nations, and received a full scholarship to the University of Florida.

She's covered stories and events including multiple campaign rallies, the Women’s March on Washington in D.C., March Madness in New York City, hurricane recovery on both coasts of Florida, and the one-year anniversary of the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.

She's learning immersive storytelling as well as developing her skills on traditional platforms — all while maintaining a strong social media presence.
