LONDON (ICIS)--Chemicals producer prices continued on an upward trend in May, rising by 2.6% in the EU and eurozone from the previous month, statistics agency Eurostat said on Friday. May's increase eased off from the previous two months but continued the positive momentum which began in the middle of last year as COVID-19 lockdown measures eased.

LONDON (ICIS)--The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) annual forum in Dubai has been postponed from December and will now take place in February next year, the industry group said on Wednesday. The 15th Annual GPCA Forum will run on 10-11 February 2021 as a ‘special edition’ with the theme of “Leadership in the new reality - Catalyzing sustainable growth in the chemical industry”. The event was originally scheduled to run on 7-9 December.

LONDON (ICIS)--The major storm approaching the US Gulf Coast has now been upgraded to a hurricane, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Tuesday. Petrochemical and oil producers are bracing for the impact of Hurricane Laura on segments of the upper Texas and southwestern Louisiana coastlines on Wednesday night local time, with the storm expected to move inland early on Thursday morning.
