Blade: Trinity ★★ This feels totally disconnected from the other installments in the franchise. I know it’s canonically connected, and isn't as actively bad as the first one, but there’s a distinct drop-off in tone and is largely boring. Visually, it’s the best of the three, but the story and the new characters aren’t particularly interesting.

Blade II ★★★ Liked Probably a hot take but I liked this a lot more than the original. The plot felt more streamlined, even though the betrayal stuff down the stretch got a tad confusing. There was also a lot less goofiness, which made for a much stronger film that the first. blade ii

Doctor Strange ★★★★ Liked "Doctor Strange" is a visually-stunning spectacle and a rather underrated origin film. In fact, I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It slightly suffers from a largely-uninteresting villain (though Mads Mikkelsen did a great job), but it's still strong on the whole despite getting lost in the shuffle of everything the MCU was doing at that time. I have more of an appreciation for it after seeing it a few more times since then. doctor strange
