Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. I grew up using typewriters. They're great, though I write on a computer now I love the mechanical feel.
How is social media changing news?
Social media is, in a way, becoming the news. This has positive and negative aspects.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means to write about real and important things to provide benefit by sharing useful and accurate information and stories.

Wit and sense of humor. More wetware than software.

To help people on more broadly.

I was actually on my HS literary magazine, Editor-in-Chief my senior year!

Any time is fine. Day to day my schedule varies, but I check messages regularly.

Water. Alcohol-wise Ardbeg 10 year, a rare gustatory tour-de-force.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
With family, reading, walking around or people watching.

I love reading research. Psychology, neuroscience, organizational, and related areas. I browse many publications regularly.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I'm only straight-up medical.
