SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Dozens of high school football teams are set to hit the field Friday in South Dakota, despite a strong September heat wave. The KELOLAND Sports team will be out covering highlights from 13 games across the state ahead of the KELOLAND SportsZone. The KELOLAND SportsZone airs every Friday night during the football season at 10:15 p.m. on KELO-TV.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Several sporting events are altering their start time this weekend as a September heat wave hits South Dakota. The temperatures forecasted for Friday show nearly the entire state at or above 90 degrees. High school football teams are still ready to hit the gridiron Friday night. Five of the matchups are seeing a delayed start time.
