Ponte Vedra Beach (FL) Nease High School 2026 three-star linebacker Jacob Curry‍ decommitted from Northwestern yesterday. Curry was offered by the Baylor coaching staff a month ago, and the staff has continued to prioritize him by communicating with him daily. Linebacker’s coach Jamar Chaney and head coach Dave Aranda have been a big part of those conversations, along with general manager Aaron Hunt.

Former Baylor wide receiver Tyquan Thornton has made the Kansas City Chiefs' 53-man roster after spending the 2024 season on the practice squad. Thornton has drawn rave reviews all offseason and made his mark during the preseason games leading up to this decision. During his first two games in limited reps with the backups, he posted two catches for 29 yards, but his big statement came in the final game as he got a chance with the starters.

SicEm365 Co-Editor Grayson Grundhoefer gives his thoughts on Baylor's first depth chart of the 2025 season ahead of the Auburn game on Friday. New position titles have been added to the depth chart. I heard rumblings about the names changing over the offseason, but we hadn’t really seen anything about it until now. These aren’t really changing a whole lot with the scheme, as the positions are essentially the same.
