Potential density at Aldrich school site worries some

The city is looking to rebid the former Aldrich Junior High School at 771 Post Rd., which has been closed since 2017. As the city is again looking to sell the property at the former Aldrich Junior High School on Post Road, residents and members of the City Council are concerned about the potential for high-density residential or mixed-use development. The Planning Board issued a positive recommendation for a zone change for the property to allow for higher density residential uses.

Man drowns clamming at Conimicut Point

The second fatal incident at Conimicut Point this summer occurred over the weekend. Just after 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, personnel from the Warwick Police and Fire departments responded to the point following the report of a man in the water. PACE-RI welcomes new chief medical officer

Cranston resident Katherine Darland has joined the PACE Organization of Rhode Island to lead the elder-care organization’s medical team. Darland’s path to medicine wasn’t the most conventional.
