4. Discussion This is the first study to specifically compare arterial blood gases SaO2 and PaO2 with ORi™ in a SCUBA diver while testing the feasibility of such a monitoring setup underwater. No malfunctioning was reported after the experiments, and the devices could record the intended parameters at any moment. Such a configuration, still at an early stage, could be improved by including several other devices in a compact, wearable, and commercially available apparatus.
