1 Introduction Lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), a major subtype of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), accounts for approximately 20–30% of all lung cancer cases worldwide. Despite advances in targeted therapy and immunotherapy, the five-year survival rate for patients with advanced-stage LUSC remains below 20%, largely due to late-stage diagnosis, aggressive tumor progression, and resistance to current treatments (1–4).
