Atomically precise metal nanoclusters (NCs) are a key area of focus in nanoscience research because of their unique quantum-size regime and well-defined structures and have applications in optical, bioimaging, and catalytic processes. (1−6) NCs consist of a precise number of atoms, usually ranging from dozens to hundreds of atoms, arranged in specific geometric patterns. The photoluminescence (PL) properties of NCs are currently an area of extensive research.
