I like when folks have actually done their research on who I am and what I write and keep their pitch within my areas of expertise.

Too many to list, honestly. I would have to list everything I use as a researcher which is a massive toolkit.

I find myself using LinkedIN more and more these days, but I think my generation can't let quit Facebook/Meta

I guess the piece I wrote on 10 ways to identify misinformation, but really I love them all.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Regular work hours. But ultimately it is about how much time you give me to complete a piece. I invest a lot of time into the research.
