High-performance chromatographic immunoassay utilizing a biotin-streptavidin platform for activity-based analysis of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies
The last few decades have seen the rapid growth of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) as biotherapeutic agents [[1], [2], [3]]. This trend, in turn, has led to a need for new methods that can be used to measure and characterize therapeutic mAbs during their development and production [[4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11]].
GENDER DISPARITIES IN CANADIAN INSTITUTES OF HEALTH RESEARCH GRANT FUNDING FOR CARDIOVASCULAR RESEARCH
The proportion of Canadian cardiologists identifying as women has increased from 9.2% in 1995 to 22.9% in 2019. However, women continue to be underrepresented in clinical and research leadership positions. Previous research has found that only 10% of lead authors in cardiovascular trials and 20% of recipients of federal cardiovascular grants in the United States identify as women.
LONG-TERM RECURRENCE OF NEW-ONSET POST-OPERATIVE AF IN CARDIAC SURGERY PATIENTS AS DETECTED BY AN IMPLANTABLE LOOP RECORDER: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT DATA META-ANALYSIS
BACKGROUND New-onset post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF) occurs in 25-50% of patients after cardiac surgery. In some patients, POAF is a transient entity, while in others it represents a first presentation of paroxysmal or persistent AF. The long-term AF recurrence rate in patients with POAF is unknown. This study estimates the AF recurrence rate in patients with new-onset POAF following cardiac surgery as evaluated with an implantable loop recorder (ILR).

Selective central vascular ligation (D3 lymphadenectomy) in patients undergoing minimally invasive complete mesocolic excision for colon cancer: optimizing the risk-benefit equation - Sammour - 2020 - Colorectal Disease - Wiley Online Library
Abstract Aim Complete mesocolic excision (CME) with central vascular ligation (CVL) has been advocated for right colon adenocarcinoma (RC), but the radicality of vascular dissection remains controversial. Our aim is to report outcomes of selective CVL (D3 lymphadenectomy) during minimally invasive CME for RC. Method A prospective database identified patients who were treated for RC between 2009 and 2016. Minimally invasive CME was standard.

Adenocarcinoma predominant pattern subtyping and nuclear grading in cytology: Is there a role in prognostication of advanced pulmonary adenocarcinomas? - Nambirajan - 2018 - Cytopathology - Wiley Online Library
Primary lung adenocarcinomas (ADs) show varied architectural patterns, and pattern-based subtyping of ADs is currently recommended due to prognostic implications. Predicting AD patterns on cytology is challenging; however, cytological nuclear features appear to correlate with histological grade and survival in early stage lung ADs. The feasibility and value of AD pattern prediction and nuclear grading on cytology in advanced lung ADs is not known.
