Eski Taliban komutanı Haci Necipullah, Pulitzer ödüllü bir gazeteciyi kaçırmak ve üç Amerikan askerinin ölümüne yol açan desteği sağlamak suçlarından 42 yıl hapis cezasına çarptırıldı. Manhattan federal mahkemesinde bir gün süren duruşmanın ardından açıklanan karar öncesinde gazeteci David Rohde, Necipullah’ın karşısına geçerek 2008’de Afganistan’da kendisini ve iki kişiyi kaçırmasına rağmen şimdi sorumluluk almaktan kaçındığını söyledi.
