Interview

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

PR pros! If you're reaching out with a pitch, please make sure it aligns with the topics I cover -- primarily health, wellness, mental health, and lifestyle. I appreciate concise, well-targeted pitches that clearly explain the angle and why it’s timely or relevant.

What's your favorite social network?

LinkedIn has to be my favorite social network. That's where I got to connect with so many amazing people from my profession across the world. It has always been a pleasure to interact with different audiences and meet such talented people.

Why did you become a journalist?

I’ve always believed that health information should be delivered with empathy, clarity and in a way people can genuinely understand. Journalism allows me to combine that belief with my passion for patient education -- sharing credible, up-to-date insights with a broader audience. Over time, I’ve built meaningful connections with both experts and the public, and I value those conversations as much as the stories themselves. I’m grateful to work in a field that I love every bit as much as my rehabilitation career.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Working with Healthnews was one of my dreams, and when I got accepted into the company, my trial article for them, "Are Electric Chairs Safe for Seniors?" ranked on the first page of Google with a featured snippet. That was the moment I felt really proud of my work. I ranked several articles after that, and they are equally special to me, making me proud every time I visit them.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

When I'm not working, I'm most likely reading books, cooking, or playing with my pets.
