Diamond Burr Keratectomy for Bilateral Recurrent Corneal Erosion Syndrome in Epidermolysis Bullosa: A Case Report

Report of a case of bilateral recurrent corneal erosion syndrome (RES) resistant to conventional treatment in a patient with epidermolysis bullosa junctional type (EBJ) who was treated successfully with diamond burr keratectomy (DBK). A 34-year-old female with EBJ presented with RES in both eyes unresponsive to intensive lubrication and bandage contact lenses. Given the persistent symptoms, DBK was performed on the left eye in August 2022 and on the right eye in January 2023.
