What's your favorite social network?

Instagram, because I've always been a visual person. But Facebook has the best conversations and engagement. Twitter moves too fast.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was a staff writer since freshman year and I was the Opinions editor my senior year.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Write the thing you'd want to read.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Probably at Pilates class, drawing, or reading a book at home.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Anything that invites me to learn something new!

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

Everything is an inspirational story. Disability is so much deeper than "feel good" stories for nondisabled people.
