opinion Editor's note: All opinions, columns and letters reflect the views of the individual writer and not necessarily those of the IDS or its staffers. Dear Indiana University, Ever since I was little, I craved college. I was obsessed with indie music, specifically Vampire Weekend. In their 2008 song “One (Blake’s Got a New Face),” they sing “Oh, your collegiate grief has left you dowdy in sweatshirts. Absolute horror.” I had no idea what it meant, but I felt this temptation to go away for school.

arts theater I have a long history with “Legally Blonde” the musical. It started in ninth grade when auditions were announced for a production at my local community theatre. I then spent every afternoon propping up my laptop and doing karaoke to the show’s songs (when my family wasn’t home of course). If you are a theater kid, you know the show inside and out. So, when I went to see the IU Department of Theatre, Drama and Contemporary Dance’s production last week, I was jittering with excitement.

arts student life I am in great denial that I will be done with classes May 10, dressed in a cap and gown and finishing up my time as a student forever. There is so much that I have been lucky to have gotten to do at IU. Some things that I would’ve never known about have been my favorite experiences. Here are a few things you need to check out before you graduate from IU.
