1 INTRODUCTION The human brain, being highly metabolically active, is susceptible to the impact of glucose metabolism dysregulation, a prominent characteristic of diabetes. In addition to the various known micro- and macrovascular complications of diabetes, impaired glucose metabolism is likely to have adverse consequences on neural functioning and cognitive processes (Liu et al., 2019).

The search for predictive biomarkers of treatment response in early psychosis remains a clinical challenge. Our recent work suggests that functional connectivity in the cerebellar-cortical circuitry may predict treatment outcome. This study aimed to further identify the predictive value of different cerebellar subsystems, using a seed-based connectivity approach.
