Melisa existed in the years 2014-2017, thus contributing to the renaissance of Polish underground scene associated with bands such as Złota Jesień or Sierść. The band is distinguished by their intense, compact forms drawing on noise rock, grind core and sludge, as well as lyrics that fit between poetic abstraction and social criticism. Their lyrics concern violence both in terms of descriptions of its mechanisms and specific stories.
