Abstract Conventional safety risk analysis methods, based on linear cause–and–effect relationships, are inadequate for capturing the dynamic and nonlinear nature of socio-technical systems. This study proposes a novel hybrid fuzzy logic-FRAM framework to quantitatively assess performance variability and emerging risks in complex socio-technical systems.

4.6. Data Analysis Sleep related: Using a custom-made version from the developers, the accompanying software SleepStats was used to extract the binary files for each mouse. They contain every two-second decision over the whole length of the recording. With Matlab (Version R2019b, MathWorks Inc., Natick, MA, USA), the files were cropped to the desired length of 10 days starting at ZT0 of baseline day 1 and subsequent analyses were performed.
