To the Editor, A 16-year-old girl diagnosed with Smith-Kingsmore syndrome (SKS) was hospitalized at another center due to cough, fever, and respiratory distress. Two months earlier, she had been admitted for otitis media and peripheral facial paralysis, during which she was treated with antibiotics and corticosteroids and underwent tympanoplasty and mastoidectomy. She was readmitted 2 weeks after discharge with fever and productive cough.
