Chemistry plays an essential role in the conservation of water-sensitive organic artifacts. Unearthed ivory objects from the Sanxingdui site are particularly vulnerable to irreversible damage, such as cracking and powdering, due to moisture loss. This challenge provides a real-world context that naturally stimulates postgraduate students’ interest and engagement. To address it, we designed a laboratory project that integrates professional education with research practice.

Developing a Grounded Theory Model of Human-AI Information Interaction Behavior in AIGC-Supported SSI Learning Among Pre-Service Chemistry Teachers

Abstract This study investigated the factors influencing pre-service chemistry teachers’ (PCTs’) human–AI information interaction behaviors on Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) question-and-answer platforms. Using the socio-scientific issue of vehicle restrictions during heavy pollution events as the learning context, data were collected from 25 screen recordings of PCTs’ interactions with an AIGC platform, supplemented by open-ended questionnaire responses.
