When Bluecoat Primary Academy embarked on the journey to becoming a Young Carers Accredited School, we knew that this was more than just a formal recognition. This was about making a lasting commitment to some of the most remarkable yet often overlooked children in our school community. Young carers take on responsibilities well beyond their years, balancing school life with caring for a parent or sibling who may have a disability, chronic illness, or mental health condition.
