1 Introduction College years may be a critical period for overweight and obesity development, as students face novel lifestyle challenges and frequently report lack of exercise and dietary behaviors inconsistent with recommended nutrition guidelines [1]. Furthermore, weight gained in early adulthood is often not lost and contributes incrementally and substantially over time to weight status and health outcomes in later adulthood [2].
