Hannah Douglas
Hannah Douglas’s Biography
Hannah Douglas is a freelance writer and figure skater living in New York City. With more than a decade of reporting experience, she has informed readers on a range of issues from health policy for Medical Economics to the tech sector for IT PRO in London.
She has covered breaking news at the Queens Chronicle and within Illinois’ political realm for Lee Enterprises. Over the course of her journalism career, she has been sprayed with tear gas covering Occupy protests in Oakland, climbed trees to film the shivering crowds on the National Mall at the Jan. 2009 presidential inauguration, and chased down seemingly infinite, unpredictable leads that every once in a while turned out to be front page news.
She is a proud recipient of the Association of Health Care Journalists’ Missouri Health Journalism Fellowship.
When she’s not on assignment or listening to news podcasts during her marathon training runs, she’s searching for the nearest ice rink.
