Abstract The randomised METIMMOX trial evaluated short-course oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy alternating with nivolumab for metastatic microsatellite-stable/mismatch repair-proficient colorectal cancer. In a post hoc analysis, we investigated whether tumour mutations or patients’ systemic inflammation might provide insights into responsiveness to the METIMMOX regimen.

This study was performed to adress the issue that association between long-term toxicity and quality of life after colon cancer treatment is poorly investigated. The results show that adjuvant chemotherapy was associated with significantly lower QoL. The findings will be of importance when counselling patients in terms of adjuvant chemotherapy. INTRODUCTION Surgery alone can cure the majority of patients with Stage I–III colon cancer.
