Comprehensive application of multispectral data for alteration mapping in the volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit: a case study in Baiyin area, China
ABSTRACT The Baiyin area of Gansu Province (GSBY), located in the eastern North Qilian Orogenic Belt, exhibits active tectonic-magmatic features such as Early Palaeozoic submarine volcanic rocks and ductile shear zones, which provide favourable conditions for the formation of a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit. Several large-scale VMS copper-polymetallic deposits have been discovered in this region through exploration.
