Same organ, divergent immunity: T-cell exhaustion versus stromal exclusion in hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma
Abstract Although hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) arise in the same organ, they occupy distinct immune geographies within a shared barrier network. HCC is relatively enriched for inflamed yet dysfunctional CD8+ T-cell states, whereas iCCA is more often characterized by stromal- and myeloid-associated immune exclusion; both patterns can occur in either tumor, but differ in their relative predominance.

Phenotype-Based Classification of Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Undergoing Myectomy:
Introduction Obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is an autosomal dominant cardiomyopathy with a complex pathogenesis.1-3 Obstructive HCM is characterized by asymmetric hypertrophy of the left ventricle (LV) and is a common cause of sudden death among young adults.4,5 HCM is associated with mutations in sarcomere genes, including myosin heavy chain 7 (MYH7) and myosin-binding protein C-3 (MYBPC3).6 Treatments with small-molecule inhibitors of cardiac myosin, such as mavacamten, have...

"Targeting Branched N-glycans and Fucosylation Sensitizes Ovarian Tumor" by Hao Nie, Pratima Saini et al.
Abstract Aberrant glycosylation is a crucial strategy employed by cancer cells to evade cellular immunity. However, it's unclear whether homologous recombination (HR) status-dependent glycosylation can be therapeutically explored. Here, we show that the inhibition of branched N-glycans sensitizes HR-proficient, but not HR-deficient, epithelial ovarian cancers (EOCs) to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB).
